THE UNIFICATIONING
a poetic essay about the human being,
chain reactions and the word “I”

written by Mikis Mazarakis
abstract art by Christine Maudy

Friends,
Our body, our intellect, our soul and all other elements that together form the notion which we, with our language, have agreed upon referring to when we, in our communication, make use of the word “I”, is a unit.

The word “I” might be one of the most misused words that the human being has ever put on her tongue, counting in both the discrepancy between the interpretation of the phenomenon that the word represents and the actual characteristics of it, as well as the consequences that this misconception has brought about.

The main purpose of this text is, however, not to illustrate the misinterpretation and misuse of the the word “I”, but since this idea is of importance in order to understand the rest of the text I will therefore begin by presenting a short, and most certainly very simplified, line of argument in order to explain what I mean when I say that our use of the word “I” to a large extent is based on illusory conceptions of the nature of the human being.

“I”, like all words, is a word that the human being has constructed by putting to use the intellectual skills that have made lingustic communication possible. Beneath the word “I” is the idea of what “I” is. Or in other words, what one believes that “I” is. This, however, is not the focus point of the argument.

What’s more important is to examine the limitation in our thinking that an unwary use of the word “I” inevitably creates when one is not aware that every time that we in any form make use of the word “I” it is just a part of the I that we can refer to, and not the whole I.

When a human being says the word “I”,
it is very commonly believed that he or she is referring to the whole I,
i.e. everything that is him or her
that is “I”
when in fact,
he or she is only referring to a part of him or herself
and not the whole “I”.

This means that we, to the word “I” and the idea that it represents,
have given notions of the nature of the human being that are conflicting.

It is for this reason that the word “I” is plagued by a paradox.

What we are refering to is not
what we believe that we are refering to.

A paradox is a signal to our intellect
that the conceptions underlying the word or words that we use (in this case “I”)
are not logical,
are not in coherence with their actual characteristics,
pretty much in the same way that a sensation of pain is being signaled to the nervous system
when the organism experiences any form of physical conflict.

More simply:
pain is physical conflict,
paradox is intellectual conflict.

For us to be able to get rid of this intellectual conflict,
we need to examine what it is that we are (really) refering to
when we make use of the word “I”.

Let’s begin by thinking of the earth‘s population as billions of human existences
instead of billions of human beings.
Then we can think of just one of these human existences
and of everything that exists within it,
on all levels, in all realms, within all fields;
The physical aspect of existence (the body),
the spiritual aspect of existence (the soul),
the ideological aspect of existence (the mind),
the social aspect of existence (consciousness),
the phonetical aspect of existence (sounds),
the visual aspect of existence (images),
the sexual aspect of existence (reproduction, re-creation, iteration),
the creative aspect of existence (creating, materializing, externalizing),
the time and space aspect of existence (here and now),
the hormonal aspect of existence (energy, emotions),
the logical aspect of existence (mathematical thinking)
the visionary aspect of existence (imagination),
the aesthetic aspect of existence (taste, value),
and the divine aspect of existence (love, morals, unification).

These fourteen realms in which a human being exists are,
to the best of my knowledge, the most fundamental.

For every realm in which the human being exists,
there is a channel of communication
between other humans in particular and other creatures in general
and everything else (in even more general)
that is also functioning within that realm.

Existence
is every idea
every body
every emotion
spirit
expression and calculation
ever communicated
and forever
in communication

The channel of communication for our intellect is language,
the channel of communication for our physical body is touch
the communication of the soul
is through the vibrations of the energy field,
which is dictated by either love or fear
or any other of the countless emotional states that a human being can experience
(however all of which are basically just different variations
of combinations
of  love and fear)

The language of the social realm
is the communication through the encounters and meetings
with our fellow human beings and creatures

The language of logic is agreement
of sexuality, the sexual act
hormonally, through behaviour
phonetically, through sound
visually, through fantasy
creatively, through expression
aesthetically, through understanding
divinely, through forgiveness.

The fatal mistake with the common use of the word “I”
is that the notions from which the idea is sprung
to which the conception of “I”
as well as the sound/symbol that in written language looks as follows: I
are among a lot of people notions that come from a human being’s interpretation
of him or herself in relation to his or her existence as a physical being
to whom nothing “really” exists that is not perceived by any of our five physical senses
and to whom all forms of communication besides those conducted by these senses
are explained as “unreal“.

The word “unreal” might be one of the most truthtwisting words
in the history of mankind’s linguistic history.

There is no unreality.

Nothing exists
that doesn‘t exist,
that‘s not real,
that‘s unreal.

The idea of unreality
is a misconception of immense proportions
and we would do a lot better off
without it.

To continue:
since it is a very common belief
that the only real form of communication
is one that can be perceived by any of our five physical senses,
we thereby cut off the human being’s most basic, as well as important,
ways to of communicate.

Means of communication that have been a part of us
that we have carried with us
for billions of years

Means of communication that have brought us together
held us together
long before even the molecules had come together
that would create the nucleous
of what would to become the planet earth
and long before
the creature who called herself “human being”
learned to communicate
through speech, writing, longing and logic.

When we divide ourselves
everything that is inside and around ourselves
will be perceived to be scattered.

When we see ourselves
as parts of something greater
of something whole
as a whole
within something whole,
then everything will be perceived as one.

The word “I”,
in the way it is currently commonly used,
is derived from the divided human being -
who sees chaos in perfection
and danger
in the cradle.

This is what the human beings have come to believe,
this is how they have learned to live,
think, feel
throughout history
and thus is this the way
that the human beings have interpreted themselves
throughout their confused history
and this confusion is what has been standing behind
the word “I”
for all these years
all these years that we have cried
over what has been lost,
which we ourselves have chosen to lose
because the only solace
in the kingdom of fear
is irrationality
and the greed, animosity
cynisism and emptiness
that this demonic state of mind creates.

But as already said,
this is not the whole human being.
This is not the whole you. This is not the whole me.
This is a divided me. This is just a part of me.
“I” is just a part of me.

The whole “I” is all that is here and now and that can be materially grasped
as well as
all that which is here and now and that can be felt,
sensed,
experienced,
regardless of the way in which it is being felt,
sensed or experienced.

This is the “whole I”.

“I”
in the way we use use this word
is not the whole I.

“I”
is the human being who stares into the eyes of the sun
in search of the moon.

Abstract painting from 2001 by Christine Maudy from Australia. The colors light blue and blue, looking like flowing water.

For this reason,
I would henceforth like to - and will therefore henceforth -
when in my writing I want to depict the signs that shall represent the whole me and not the divided me,
which is what we believe that we do when we in the common use of language say and write “I”,
use the words “my organism” instead of the word “I”.

And when I use the word “I”,
then this sign represents the idea that I have
that the word “I”, in whichever form it is transmitted,
never can represent more of what is actually you
than what is transmittable through language,
which is the channel of communication for your organism‘s intellect -
and only that.

So! Now to the main purpose of the text,
which is to describe the process of unificationing.

We can begin by imagining
the physical aspect of the human organism.

Among much else,
we have arms, legs, fingers, feet, toes, head, neck,
and so on.

If we, for example, imagine my organism‘s body
standing on one leg
trying to keep the balance
and thereafter raises the right arm,
then this movement is not taking place without causing an effect
on the rest of the body of my organism.

In order to maintain balance
the body of my organism must therefore compensate
for the displacement that it did when raising the right arm
by changing its distribution of weight,
which is done by altering the body position.

The body of my organism then leans back
which in turn results in the fact that it, once again,
must alter the body position
in order to maintain balance.

In other words,
all movements that the body parts of our organisms perform
are mutually and constantly affecting every other body part
and in doing so, mutually and constantly changing,
every other body part -
always.

In other words,
as soon as our organisms move one part of their body
it is not just affecting that one part of the body,
but all parts.

Now we continue.

Let’s remain in the physical aspect of the human organism,
and if we now imagine the inside of the body
and observe what is going on in there,
we discover identical processes
of cause and effect.

The Word M World Logo - www.wordmworld.net

For example,
when the body of my organism keeps its eyes open
it receives a visual input,
a sensation,
that in the brain of my organism is mutated into interpretation
that are shaped by
and is shaping
that which we in common use of language refer to
when we say the word “perception”.

The nature of these interpretations
is completely dependent on how the consciousness is constructed
in which they have entered.

We are probably all familiar with the fact that a certain visual input,
or any other kind of input for that matter,
can in one organism give rise to an interpretation resulting in,
for example,
some sort of pleasant (energy-generating) emotion
but that same visual input can by another organism be interpreted
in a way that results in an unpleasant (energy-demanding) emotion.

These pleasant and unpleasant emotions,
that can be described as hormonal snapshots of the constantly billowing flow of energy,
are in turn affecting which signal substances to be released in the brain
which then is communicated to the nervous system
which communicates with muscles and organs
that
among much else,
control blood circulation and lymphatic system
immune system and reparational functions
and so on
and so on
and so on, continuously
out to all bodily functions
and extended,
to all
functions.

Abstract art by Christine Maudy from Australia. The colors red and dark red, looking like flowing lava.

Now imagine that my organism had not kept its eyes open.

The process described above would in that case never have taken place.

Instead, another, unique, process
would have occured
and would,
in a way that has never before taken place,
change
everything
solely as a result of my keeping the eyes closed
instead of open.

In other words,
Everything that’s going on in the bodies of our organisms
affect everything else
that’s going on, that exists, in the bodies of our organisms
and extended,
in everything else
that goes on,
that exists.

There is no part of the bodies of our organisms
that doesn‘t incessantly affect all other parts of the bodies of our organisms
and is incessantly affected by all other parts.

There is no part of the body,
of any body,
that is isolated.

This thought is now widened
and applied not only to the bodies of our organisms
but our organisms in their entirity,
in whole,
and their existences.

The different components,
or constituents,
or aspects,
of a human being’s organism‘s existence
are many.

It contains a consciousness (and all within it),
it contains a body (and everything happening in and with it),
it contains friendships (and all that is happening with them),
it contains - in most cases - a residence (and all in it),
it contains - in most cases - money (and all that we choose to do and not to do with it),
it contains labour,
it contains time,
it contains a family,
material possessions,
nutrition,
dreams,
images,
words,
memories,
emotions,
thoughts,
impulses,
consciousness,
love.

Now imagine that the parts of the physical body of the organism
that previously kept its balance on one leg,
is replaced by all these aspects of the existence of our organism.

The right arm is replaced by friendships,
left leg is replace by money,
upper body is replaced by consciousness,
toes are replaced by nutrition,
fingers are replaced by labour,
and so on
and so on.

If we now raise the right arm (friendships),
then this action is not made without affecting not just one,
but all other parts of the body - or parts of the organism‘s existence -
if we are to stick to the analogy.

This means
that if a displacement of the money is made,
it inevitably affects all other aspects of the existence of our organism.

This process is constant and incessant.

Everything that my organism does and everything that goes on with my organism
is constantly and incessantly affecting everything else within the existence of my organism
and extended,
is constantly and incessantly affecting
everything
and is constantly and incessantly being affected
by everything.

Abstract painting by australian artist Christine Maudy. The coloros light blue, dark blue and dark green. Looking like underwater rock formations in a crystal clear ocean.

In the previous example,
the analogy was posed between the bodies of our organisms
and from a widened perspective
the different aspects of the existence of our organism.

In the following example, the perspective is reversed,
the analagy will be posed between the body of our organism
and in a smaller perspective,
the cells that make up the constituents of our organism;
that have created our organism
and is constantly re-creating it;
that are the closest creators
with whom the human organism
can communicate.

The same processes and functions that have been described above
are found in our cells as well.

Of all the billion cells that have built,
and is currently building, your organism
there is not any single one of them
that is isolated,
that works alone.

Each and every one of the cells of the human organism
is fulfilling its own, unique function
and the work that each and every one of them conducts
is always related to the work of all other cells as well.

Constantly
and incessantly
and inevitably
they are all affecting
and they are all affected
by each other,
collaborating
cooperating
with the common goal
of making the organism which they have created,
and is all the time creating,
to work as well as possible
and thereby making the existence
that the organism has been given
as good as possible
as well as with the individual goal
of fulfilling the unique function that each and every one of them
has chosen.

Now we continue.

Let’s change to a wider perspective,
an even wider perspective than before.

We stretch our imagination from a cell,
to a human organism
to an organism
that is called humanity.

The word “humanity”
is, as well, very misleading.

The idea on which the word rests
is derived from an interpretation of all living human organisms together,
but in singular form.

Therefore,
in the word “humanity” we find no hint of a creating process.
In the word “humanity” we find no hint of something new,
something that isn‘t human,
that is a new creation,
a new organism.

But it is exactly this
that all living human organisms together actually is:
a unique creation
a unique organism.

As obvious as it is for us
that a human being is the result of billions of cells in collaboration
and therefore is to be regarded as another type of organism than the single cell,
it will soon become equally obvious
that humanity is the result of billions of human organisms in collaboration
and is therefore to be regarded as another type of organism
than the human organsm.

A creation
created by the human organisms
that have been created by the cells
that have been created by the molecules
that have been created by the elements
that have been created by hydrogen and helium
that have been created by that which is the creator of physical existence,
which is consciousness,
that has been created by that which is the creator of everything,
which is energy,
which is light
which is love.

In my view,
it would for this reason be a wise idea to phase out the use of the word “humanity”
and replace it with something in the spirit of the words
the creation of the human organisms
which I believe would be in better coherence with the actual nature
of that which all human organisms together constitute
and are together creating.

Coral. 121 x 91 cm. Acrylic on Canvas, 2000. Abstract artwork by Christine Maudy from Australia. The colors red, blue and light blue, reminding of a coral reef in the ocean.

Now let’s return to the analogy.

The body of the human organism
is replaced by “humanity”,
which we can call:

“the creation of the human organisms”,
since that is exactly what it is.

So in this analogy
the body becomes “the collective human organism”
and the body parts become the human organisms
that constitute
and are creating
“the creation of the human organisms”.

This creation contains, in turn,
smaller collective creations
(or social constellations)
in the shape of families, friendships,
football teams, love relations,
school classes, societies,
companies, organizations,
and so on.

Let’s use a relatively small social constellation in the following analogy.

We can imagine a social constellation
(a collective human creation)
of five human organisms;
one of them is my organism
two others are my closest friends, called Ali and Baba,
and then we have Ali‘s and Baba‘s closest friends, called Sam and Son.

Now we can imagine that my organism
is the right arm.
Ali is the left leg.
Baba is the upper body.
Sam is the left foot toes
and Son is the right foot.

If my organism (right arm) is being raised,
then this inevitably affects all other human organisms in the social constellation
that my organism together with all other human organisms
- all other cells -
in the constellation constitute.

Therefore,
if Ali is displaced, then this movement is automatically exercising
a mutual effect on all others in the social constellation,
the collective creation.

The same goes for Baba,
and of course for Sam and Son as well.

This process is constant and incessant.
Everything that my organism does and everything that goes on with my organism
is constantly and incessantly affecting all other human organisms
in the social constellations that I am a part of
and extended,
is constantly and incessantly affecting
all other human organisms
since all of us together constitute
and are always creating
the largest of all human social constellations,
which can be called “humanity”
but according to the intellect of my organism
is better understood with the words “the creation of the human organisms”
and even further extended,
is constantly and incessantly affecting
all other organisms
since we all constitute
and are always creating
an even larger social constellation
which we can call:
“the creation of the universal organisms”
and even more extended,
is constantly and incessantly affecting
everything
and is constantly and incessantly affected
by everything.

Now it is believed
in the intellect of my organism
that from here, the step is not that big
to draw the conclusion
that no phenomenon
whatsoever
is isolated
.

Everything and everyone
are part of a constant and incessant course of events
of mutual effect,
which we can call:
life.

Everything
is a part of this experience.

Your organism
Mine
The flower
wind
the fly
elephant
jelly fish
comet
solar system
energy
cell
galaxy
electron
wave
field
universe
and all that is beyond.

Everything changes,
Everything change

Everything is changing,
everything is being changed.

Everything is uniting,
everything is united.

Everything is in unification,
everything is a unification.

No matter if our organisms want to or not,
if we are aware of it or not,
it is never a choice
to take part of this constant and incessant course of events,
and neither does it matter
whether our physical body is “alive” or not.

Everything
is
Always

All thoughts and wishes
of breaking loose
from the universe
from life
of going by yourself
of not being affected
of not trying to change
can be derived
from an isolationstic interpretation of the nature of the universe
which the intellect of my organism
considers to be highly irrational.

When our organisms
at these current times
look at the planet and those living on it
things are by a large number of people
perceived as worse than they should,
both on an individual and collective level.

Just like the cells that have created and are creating the human organism,
are we the cells that are creating a larger organism

We are here
to unite.

We are here
to be united.

But right now
we‘re living in a system
saying that we are here on this planet
alone,
saying that “I”
is more important than “you”,
saying that the best way to understand something
is to reduce the object in question into its separate parts
and study each of the parts by itself
isolated
separated from the whole
and once one is finished studying each part by itself
we are supposed to understand the whole
because of the assumption that the whole is equal to the sum of its parts,
the assumption that that over there has nothing to do with this right here
when, as a matter of fact,
that over there has everything to do with this right here.

The assumption that I have nothing to do with you
when, in fact,
I have everything to do with you.

The assumption that the best thing to do
is to keep your knowledge to yourself

The assumption that what you have created
belongs to you and no one else
when the truth is
that everything being created
is created by all of us

The assumption that an action has to be made
in either selfish or altruistic interests
when the truth is
that these two words
should be one and the same

The assumption that the work for unification
has to be a sacrifice for one self
when the truth is
that the feeling of sacrifice only appears
when the work for unification has been corrupted
kidnapped
by irrationalists
who talk like lambs
and act like wolves,
who take and pretend to give
while they keep on taking
more and more

The assumption
that each and every one
should do everything by him- or herself
because each and every one
is fundamentally alone
when the truth is
that each and every one
can become
each and every two
and every three
and four
and more
and when there are more,
the more becomes one
and one from more
is infinitely stronger
than one from alone.

What‘s difficult is not to change the world,
but to not become paralyzed from knowing
that every step you take changes it.
